In the wake of his second loss in charge of Kaizer Chiefs, coach Cavin Johnson shares his special message to the players.
Johnson replaced axed Molefi Ntseki at Chiefs and has been in charge of three DStv Premiership matches so far – he has two losses and a single victory.

The former Platinum Stars mentor has since praised his players, saying they are a perfect fit for Chiefs but they just need to understand the club.

CHIEFS MENTOR CAVIN JOHNSON’S MESSAGE TO HIS PLAYERS
After leading Chiefs in the Soweto Derby against Orlando Pirates where they lost 1-0 last weekend, Johnson says his players have the best quality.

The seasoned former Al Ahly assistant coach will now use the FIFA break to fine-tune his philosophy as they will meet Moroka Swallows next week.

“I think we have enough quality in the team. I think the way we analysed and assessed them as part of the Chiefs family needs to be better,” Johnson said per IOL.
“And that’s something that we need to do better, myself and the coaching staff, so that they can be more positive towards themselves as well.
“I don’t think you come to Chiefs as an average player because if you did then we must make you better. They are good players; we need to get the timing right.”

CHIEFS COACH ON PRESSURE EXERTED ON HIS PLAYERS
The 65-year-old manager admits there is too much pressure playing for a big club such as Chiefs and that it’s not really difficult to coach Amakhosi.
“I think there’s so much pressure and there’s so many fans, and that’s why people think it’s difficult to coach this team,” adds the coach.

“But it’s not. It’s about the cloth that runs through this team that we need to respect and something we don’t respect.
“It’s about going to Kaizer Chiefs and understanding who Kaizer (Motaung) is, and making sure that the personnel that’s within the team knows what this brand is about.”

After the loss to the Buccaneers, Chiefs now sit at number 10 with 14 points from 12 games so far.
