Cape Town Sevens: Blitzboks take down USA
The Blitzboks made it two from two on day one of the Cape Town SVNS after ousting the USA 26-14 in their second pool match on Saturday.
The Blitzboks will now face Ireland at 19h34 to determine which of the sides will finish at the summit of Pool A.

MATCH RECAP
Like last week in the desert, the Sevens’ game-plan was built on sturdy defence and the subsequent exploits that come from the opposition’s errors.
The clash against the started off slowly, but the South Africans finally had a breakthrough when Ryan Oosthuizen scored from an attacking kick ahead by Selvyn Davids.
Captain Davids was the again the Blitzboks’ main attacking outlet, as he danced his way through the USA defensive line to set up Rosko Specman, who had a free run to the tryline for a 14-0 lead at the midway mark.

In a game of the proverbial two halves, the USA fought back valiantly early in the second stanza to lock the scores up at 14 all after two quick-fire tries.
But just as it looked as if the Blitzboks had lost a bit of their spark, Impi Visser and Ronald Brown finished off the contest with late tries for a 26-14 win.
Earlier in the day, South Africa defeated Great Britain 19-5 in their opening game.
