Broos names Bafana squad for upcoming friendlies
Five changes were made to the Bafana Bafana team that beat Morocco in June. Lebo Mothiba returns to the national team.
Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has named his 23-man squad to face Namibia and DR Congo in September.
The coach has downsized his squad from 36 to 23. Five changes were made to the Bafana team that beat Morocco in June.

BAFANA MAKE FIVE CHANGES
Orlando Stadium will host Bafana’s two international friendly matches against Namibia and DR Congo next month.
Coach Hugo Broos’ charges host Namibia on 9 September and DR Congo on 12 September in matches that are part of the preparations for the Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire in January next year, and for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in November.

The South African men’s national team will then travel to the west of the continent to face Africa Cup of Nations hosts Côte d’Ivoire on 17 October.
