Kaizer Chiefs’ DStv Premiership squad may look quite different next season. Seven players’ contract deals are ending in June.
Kaizer Chiefs management have another hectic transfer window coming up. It is April and Itumeleng Khune, Njabulo Ngcobo, Happy Mashiane, Sifiso Hlanti, Siyethemba Sithebe, George Matlou and Jasond Gonzalez‘s contracts are yet to be sorted.
KAIZER CHIEFS PLAYERS WITH ENDING CONTRACTS IN JUNE 2024
Anyone who has followed football long enough knows that a club does not neglect expiring contracts until April. It seems that Chiefs might part ways with a maximum of seven first-team footballers.
The list also includes players who have not been part of the regular playing squad, including the legendary Khune and the highly experienced Hlanti.
Full list of seven players with expiring contracts in June 2024:
- Happy Mashiane, 26, left-back/midfielder
- Sifiso Hlanti, 34, left-back
- Siyethemba Sithebe, 31, central midfielder
- George Matlou, 25, central midfielder
- Jasond Gonzalez, 24, center forward
- Itumeleng Khune, 36, goalkeeper
- Njabulo Ngcobo, , 29, central defender.

In the meantime, Amakhosi are currently linked with four new players for next season. The list includes three forward players from Polokwane City, Sekhukhune United and Cape Town Spurs. Stellenbosch FC left-back, Fawaas Basadies remains a taget despite signing a new deal with Stellies.

Meanwhile, Chiefs will travel to East London in the Eastern Cape this weekend. The hosts will be Chippa United at the Buffalo City Municipality Stadium on Saturday at 15:00.
