AmaZulu fires coach Reneilwe ‘Yeye’ Letsholonyane – Report
Amazulu has reportedly fired former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Reneilwe ‘Yeye’ Letsholonyane as reserve team head coach.
Former Kaizer Chiefs star Reneilwe “Yeye” Letsholonyane has reportedly been fired by Amazulu Football Club.

HAS RENEILWE LETSHOLONYANE BEEN FIRED?
Zimoja reports that AmaZulu soccer club has terminated their relationship with Reneilwe “Yeye” Letsholonyane, who was their reserve team head coach.
The publication adds that his contract was terminated after he spent a little over a year with the football club.

The former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder confirmed his departure on Sunday, 28 January in an Instagram post.
“Chapter 16/17 of my Book/Movie. This past is definitely part of the story telling. Kodwa ke, for now it is to say, thank you to the President of @amazulu_fc Mr Sandile Zungu, Mfundo Zungu, Celo Mbanjwa and @amazulu_fc at large for allowing and trusting to be part of the club.”
“A year of experience gained, a lot of lessons were learned, new skills were learned, things to do and not to do was also part of the lesson. Coaches/Colleagues, thank you ne, till the day we meet again,” he wrote.
The South African contacted Mr Letsholonyane before publishing this article. He was not available for a comment.

AMAZULU STATEMENT: YEYE’S EXIT
The publication adds that Amazulu Football Club revealed in a statement why Reneilwe “Yeye” Letsholonyane was axed as a coach.
“Amazulu Football Club and reserve team have announced the termination of their working relationship with Reneilwe “Yeye” Letsholonyane, who served as the head coach of the reserve team. This decision comes after a year-long stint with the club, during which Letsholonyane contributed significantly to the team’s development.”
The AmaZulu’ DSTV Diski Challange (DDC) team, which Letsholonyane was coaching is currently in second place from bottom with only seven points after 14 matches played.
Youth Technical Director Celokuhle Mbanjwa revealed that the team needed a change within the senior feeder team due to unsatisfactory results.
TimesLIVE reports that Letsholonyane joined AmaZulu to coach their U-17s in January 2023 and was promoted to their reserve DStv Diski Challenge team in August.
