A journalist claims that Prince William is in ‘frightening proximity’ to becoming King amid King Charles cancer battle.
Prince William is reportedly in “frightening proximity” to ascending the throne amid his father, King Charles III’s cancer battle.
PRINCE WILLIAM CLOSE TO ASCENDING THE THRONE?
Amid King Charles III’s cancer battle, his eldest son Prince William is reportedly in “frightening proximity” to ascending the British throne.
“The almost simultaneous news of Charles’s cancer has put William and Catherine in frightening proximity to ascending the throne just when they had hoped for a span of years to parent their children out of the public eye,” wrote journalist Tina Brown claimed in a New York Times essay.
The journalist went on to say that she is told that the idea of Prince William becoming King has caused stress for him and his wife.
“The prospect of it, I am told, is causing them intense anxiety,” she wrote.
Prince William’s wife, Kate Middleton is also battling cancer. Kate and Prince William have three children together – Prince George (10), Princess Charlotte (8) and Prince Louis (5).
“It has been an incredibly tough couple of months for our entire family, but I’ve had a fantastic medical team who have taken great care of me, for which I am so grateful. In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London and at the time, it was thought that my condition was non-cancerous. The surgery was successful,” she said in the emotional video released in March.
TINA BROWN: ‘CATHERINE IS THE MOST POPULAR MEMBER OF THE ROYAL FAMILY’
Brown went on to note that Kate is the most popular member of the royal family, behind Prince William and the future of the monarch depends on her.
“Catherine is the most popular member of the royal family after William. The monarchy’s future hangs by a thread, which is her,” Brown continued.
“A tidal wave of premature responsibility is crashing in her and William’s direction,” she said. “Frozen, unready and with Catherine now seriously unwell, the Prince and Princess of Wales await the awesome burden of the crown,” Brown added.
Both King Charles and Kate did not mention what type of cancer they had most had. Princess Kate did reveal that she would be undergoing chemotherapy.
“However, tests after the operation found cancer had been present. My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy and I am now in the early stages of that treatment,” she continued.
This follows the news of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle bagging two new Netflix shows. Also, this comes after Prince William was spotted hitting a local pub with Kate’s mom, Carole Middleton.
