A royal expert claimed that Prince Harry is reportedly looking for a “permanent” home in the UK so his friends who do not gel well with his wife, Meghan Markle can visit.

PRINCE HARRY REPORTEDLY LOOKING FOR PERMANENT UK HOME

Royal expert Tom Quinn claimed that Prince Harry is missing certain aspects of his old life back in the UK. Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, quit their roles as senior working members of the royal family in 2020 and moved to Montecito, California in the US. The pair started a new life in the US with their two children – Prince Archie (5) and Princess Lilibet (3).

“Inevitably, the honeymoon period where everything in the [United] States is new and exciting is coming to an end and Harry is looking back at the past through rose-tinted spectacles,” said Quinn to The Mirror.

Quinn claims that Prince Harry misses his army and college friends, who have allegedly not visited him in the US because “they don’t get on with Meghan.”

“Harry is determined to find his own permanent home in the UK, which is partly why he’s continuing his legal action to get the British taxpayer to pay for his security,” he told publication.

Prince Harry and Meghan have not had a home in the UK since King Charles III evicted them from Frogmore Cottage in 2023.

THE DUKE OF SUSSEX BECOMES US RESIDENT

This comes after Prince Harry applied to become a US resident. Sources claimed that Prince Harry and Meghan thought Frogmore Cottage would be there for them always. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were given Frogmore Cottage as a wedding gift from the late Queen Elizabeth II. However, the Sussexes were evicted from their-then UK home in 2023.

Prince Harry chose the date of their eviction from Frogmore Cottage as the date of his formal residency in the US. The pair moved out the remainder of their belongings from the Windsor property on 29 June 2023. So, Frogmore Cottage was the pair’s UK base after they moved to the US.

Daily Mail previously reported that 29 June 2023 is the date the pair put down for officially living in the US in new business documents.

Respected photographer Arthur Edwards, who has been photographing the royal family since 1977, claimed the Duke burnt his bridges with the royal family for good over his US residency.

“[The loss of] Frogmore was a very small part of it, probably an excuse when he left the UK to make his home in North America,” said Edwards to The Sun.
