KATE MIDDLETON’S CANCER VIDEO FLAGGED WITH EDITOR’S NOTE
Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton shocked her fans and followers on Friday 22 March when she revealed that she had cancer in an emotional video.
“In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London and at the time, it was thought that my condition was non-cancerous. The surgery was successful,” she said as she is seen seated on a garden bench at Windsor Castle.
In her speech, Princess Kate revealed that she is undergoing preventative chemotherapy.
“However, tests after the operation found cancer had been present. My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy and I am now in the early stages of that treatment,” she continued.

Page Six reports that a photo agency added a warning to the footage of the video.
“This Handout clip was provided by a third-party organization and may not adhere to Getty Images’ editorial policy,” read the note.
However, the agency explained to E! News that it is standard procedure to add an editor’s note for any photo or video provided by outside organisations. In this case, it was Kensington Palace.
THE PRINCESS OF WALES ‘WROTE EVERY WORD’ OF EMOTIONAL SPEECH
A source told People that Kate had written every word of her emotional speech in the video that had racked up 105.8 million views.
“She wrote every word herself,” the source said to People.
Another source said: “She wrote the words herself, delivered it personally and wanted to decide when the time was right to hit the world with this news.”
A royal source also told the publication that Prince William is “extremely proud of his wife for the courage and strength she has shown not just this week, but since her surgery in January.”
In her speech, Kate revealed that the news of her cancer came as a shock to her and William but they are trying to manage this privately for their kids.
“This of course came as a huge shock, and William and I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family. As you can imagine, this has taken time. It has taken me time to recover from major surgery in order to start my treatment,” she went on to say.
