The Prince of Wales, William said he will look after his wife, Kate Middleton as she undergoes cancer treatment during his return to royal work on Thursday 18 April.

PRINCE WILLIAM PROMISES TO ‘LOOK AFTER’ WIFE AMID CANCER DIAGNOSIS

Doting husband, Prince William made his return to royal work with his first public engagement since the news of Kate Middleton’s cancer diagnosis, on Thursday 18 April. A volunteer at a food distribution charity Surplus to Supper in Sunbury-on-Thames handed him cards for his wife and father, King Charles amid both their cancer treatments.

Buckingham Palace revealed King Charles had cancer in February.

“During the King’s recent hospital procedure for benign prostate enlargement, a separate issue of concern was noted. Subsequent diagnostic tests have identified a form of cancer,” according to a statement by Buckingham Palace.

“His Majesty has chosen to share his diagnosis to prevent speculation and in the hope it may assist public understanding for all those around the world who are affected by cancer,” the palace continued.

Princess Kate revealed her cancer diagnosis in March in an emotional video shared on Twitter. She expressed that she went in for major abdominal surgery and later found out that cancer was present. The Princess of Wales revealed that she would be undergoing chemotherapy.

“In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London and at the time, it was thought that my condition was non-cancerous. The surgery was successful,” she said.

“However, tests after the operation found cancer had been present. My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy and I am now in the early stages of that treatment,” she continued.

Kate and Prince William have three children together – Prince George (10), Princess Charlotte (8) and Prince Louis (5).

VOLUNTEER ASKS PRINCE OF WALES TO ‘LOOK AFTER’ HIS WIFE

A volunteer asked Prince William to take care of his wife and he gracefully obliged.

“Oh, some cards, you’re very kind. Thank you very much,” Prince William said to volunteer Rachel Candappa in a video shared to X by Lizzie Robinson of ITV.

Candappa then told Prince William to look after his wife, to which he replied “I will,” according to The Telegraph.

This comes after journalist Tina Brown claimed that Prince William is in “frightening proximity” to ascending the throne, in a New York Times essay.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry reportedly listed the date he and his wife, Meghan Markle were evicted from Frogmore Cottage in the UK as the date of his official US residency, according to Daily Mail.
