The Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry is said to be in a “painful place” after he wrote about his sister-in-law Kate Middleton in his memoir Spare amid her cancer battle.

PRINCE HARRY REGRETS WRITING ABOUT KATE MIDDLETON IN ‘SPARE’?

Royal expert Tessa Dunlop claimed that Prince Harry is in a “painful place” after he wrote about his sister-in-law, Kate Middleton in his memoir amid her cancer diagnosis. Princess Kate revealed her cancer diagnosis in an emotional video shared on Twitter on Friday 22 March. She explained that after she underwent major abdominal surgery, she found out that she had cancer.

“In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London and at the time, it was thought that my condition was non-cancerous. The surgery was successful,” she said as she is seen seated on a garden bench at Windsor Castle.

“However, tests after the operation found cancer had been present. My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy and I am now in the early stages of that treatment,” she continued.

So, Prince Harry is reportedly feeling a sense of regret after making several bombshell allegations against his family in his memoir. The memoir, titled Spare, was released on 10 January 2023.

“When you do discover that your sister-in-law has cancer and you’ve written stuff that can’t be retracted, that’s quite a painful place to be in,” said Dunlop to Us Weekly.

“I’m not saying it isn’t,” Dunlop continued.

DUNLOP ON SUSSEXES: ‘THEY DELIBERATELY CRITICISE THE MONARCHY’

The royal expert claimed that the allegations that Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle made about the royal family aged badly.

“They deliberately criticise the monarchy [and then offer] themselves as an alternative to monarchy. So then when the monarchy is in trouble, we do kind of make a comparison. Can Harry and Meghan hold themselves off as the caring example now?” said Dunlop.

“They’re certainly going to have to be careful of their timing with any releases so that it doesn’t look opportunistic,” Dunlop continued.

This comes after Prince Harry and Meghan released a statement following Kate’s cancer revelation.

“We wish health and healing for Kate and the family, and hope they can do so privately and in peace,” said Prince Harry and Meghan in a statement to People.

The Times of London reported that Prince Harry and his wife Megan Markle found out about Kate Middleton’s cancer diagnosis at the same time as the public.
