KATE MIDDLETON’S MOM TRYING TO SHIELD FAMILY FROM FINANCIAL WOES
Carole Middleton is reportedly trying to shield her daughter, Kate Middleton from their family’s financial battle. The Times UK reports that Carole and her husband, Michael Middleton are in debt of more than $300 000 (R5.6 million). The report claims that they have been unable to pay off the money after their business went into administration last year.
“Carole is desperately trying to keep Catherine fully focused on her recovery,” said a source to Us Weekly.
“It’s a very worrying time for the family but they are not looking for any assistance from their children and don’t want them to worry,” the source continued about Kate’s siblings – Pippa and James.
“Catherine and her parents are very close and they always check in with each other, but talk about the business is off limits as she needs to focus on her health,” the source added.
PRINCESS OF WALES CANCER BATTLE
This comes just after Kate announced that she had cancer in an emotional video shared on Twitter on Friday 22 March. She explained that when she underwent major abdominal surgery in January, she did not know that her condition was cancerous.
“It has been an incredibly tough couple of months for our entire family, but I’ve had a fantastic medical team who have taken great care of me, for which I am so grateful. In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London and at the time, it was thought that my condition was non-cancerous. The surgery was successful,” she continued.
The Princess of Wales revealed that she was undergoing preventative chemotherapy.
“However, tests after the operation found cancer had been present. My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy and I am now in the early stages of that treatment,” she added.
Kate went on to say that the news came as a shock and they are trying to manage this privately for the sake of their younger family, about her kids. The Princess has three children – Prince George (10), Princess Charlotte (8), and Prince Louis (5) with her husband, Prince William.
“This of course came as a huge shock, and William and I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family. As you can imagine, this has taken time. It has taken me time to recover from major surgery in
order to start my treatment,” she went on to say.
