The Department of Sport, Arts and Culture has called on all cricket lovers to support the Momentum Proteas, as they take on England in one of the semi-final fixtures at the Newlands Cricket Ground.
South Africa is hosting the International Cricket Council (ICC) Women’s T20 World Cup on Friday and Sunday in Cape Town. On Friday, South Africa will play against England.
“The South African team has been there before and would undoubtedly want to go all the way this time around. What a magnificent feat it would be for Hilton Moreeng’s charges to feature in a T20 final for the first time.
“With the ever-supportive Newlands crowd behind them, we have no doubt that the players will bring their A-game to this first World Cup to be hosted at home,” the department said.
