Wife of Stellenbosch snake catcher: ‘He died in my arms’
Condolences continue to pour in for the family of Stellenbosch snake catcher Rico Pentz who died after being bitten by a Cape cobra.
Condolences continue to stream in for the friends and family of Stellenbosch vet technician and snake catcher, Rico Pentz, who tragically died on Sunday after being bitten by a Cape cobra, as reported by The South African website.
He was 39.

Pentz was on a call-out when he was bitten.
He was rushed to hospital where he died.
The father-of-three founded Helderberg Wildlife Rescue and worked at non-profit wildlife conservation organisation Eagle Encounters situated at Spier Estate in Stellenbosch.
RICO PENTZ WAS ALSO BITTEN IN 2018
According to the Cape Talk website, Pentz was bitten by a Puff Adder in 2018, which resulted in him requiring skin grafts which he covered with a tattoo.

Pentz’s wife Eva Nelipot Freedom paid an emotional tribute to her husband on her Facebook page, describing how he passed away in her arms and how her heart is broken.
