Unlike WhatsApp for desktops, the dedicated app allows you to make calls – one-on-one and in groups.
“Launching a new app for Mac. Group calls up to 8 people on video and 32 on audio.” Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of WhatsApp’s parent company, Meta, explained.

THE USER INTERFACE (UI) DESIGN ON WHATSAPP WILL LOOK DIFFERENT
The User Interface (UI) design appears to be altering, and once the changes are done, some users may not recognize the program.
Young individuals might not have a problem with this, but those who are not comfortable using apps or phones will probably need some time to get used to the app’s revamped user interface.
THE NEW INTERFACE IS STILL UNDER DEVELOPMENT
As per a report by WhatsApp features tracker WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is working on a new interface for its Android app.
The design revamp was allegedly spotted in the 2.23.18.18 beta version for Android, which is available via the Google Play Beta programme. The new interface is still under development and is not visible to all beta testers.
The report comprises a screenshot of the new design. In the screenshot, the top app bar is seen in white, while other UI elements, including the app name, are shown in green.

The navigation bar is seen to be arranged at the bottom of the app. The redesign could be a move from Meta to align itself with Google’s latest Material Design 3 guidelines.
