The Springboks have endured an up and down start to the 2023 Test season, having opted to split their squad for the first two Tests of the Rugby Championship.
It’s reported that the national side will look to field their strongest-possible lineup for their final World Cup warm-up against New Zealand at Twickenham, but before then, the coaches will look to share game-time around the squad.

The aim is to ensure that most of the Springboks have around 200 minutes of game time under their belt before the World Cup starts, and there is likely to be a few changes for the next clash against Argentina.

The likes of Kurt-Lee Arendse and Jesse Kriel are expected to come into the backline to face Argentina, while forwards such as Duane Vermeulen, Marco van Staden and Jean Kleyn should also be afforded more game-time.
It’s been confirmed that the Boks‘ matchday 23 for the Argentina Test will be named at 12.30pm this Tuesday, with the clash against the Pumas at Ellis Park set to kick off at 5.05pm.

It also shouldn’t be forgotten that the Boks’ squad for the 2023 World Cup will be announced on Tuesday, 8 August at a special event taking place from 2-4pm.
It effectively means that the shortened single-round Rugby Championship will serve as the final opportunity for players to cement their place in the squad.
