S’VILLA PLANS TO FIGHT AMBITIOUZ
The Jehova singer – who signed with Ambitiouz in 2017, two years after the company was founded – says he has informed management that he is in the process of leaving the label.
“I have a legal team that has taken on the case.
“I have submitted my contract for them to have a look at and then we’re going to court. I haven’t officially left the crooked place but I’ve made it clear to them that I’m leaving,” he said.

S’Villa says Ambitiouz boss, Kgosi Mahumapelo, said that he wants back every cent he invested on him.
“I don’t know why they are still keeping me there because the contract expired in 2021. But they are using some clause that says they can extend it, which they did for another four years,” the artist says.
In addition, S’Villa alleges that the company is refusing to release his music.
“They were supposed to release three albums between 2017 and 2021. The contract expired before they released a single album or even an EP. That is what I will be arguing in court. They wasted both my time and theirs. So, I just want to cut ties and go about my business.”

The music group – made up of singers Ndumiso “Ndu Browns” Mdletshe and Siphelele “Danya Devs” Dunywa – successfully interdicted YouTube and Ambitiouz Entertainment from deleting their music from their YouTube channel and all distributing platforms.

The duo’s victory comes after Ambitiouz had removed its hit song Qoma (featuring Big Zulu) from YouTube claiming copyright infringement.
Blaq Diamond’s lawyer, Jade Louella Naidoo, said that the next step is to declare their contracts invalid and unconstitutional because they are exploitive.
Lesotho-born musician Malome Vector has also dragged Ambitiouz to court over a song titled Ya Costa.
