International Comedian, Trevor Noah has partnered with the Tourism Business Council of South Africa in a bid to promote tourism in SA. Watch.
TREVOR NOAH MARKETS SOUTH AFRICA
In an effort to help South Africa acheive a goal of attracting 21 million visitors by 2030, the Tourism Business Council of South Africa (TBCSA) has teamed up with South African-born international comedian, Trevor Noah, to help promote tourism in the country.
The main aim of the marketing campaign is to draw visitors from the wider continent of Africa, as well source markets further abroad such as Germany, the UK and the US, reports tourism update.

“It is our hope that this initiative will inspire many to take advantage of our diverse tourism offering by visiting South Africa,” the TBCSA said in a press release.
“As someone born in Soweto and who has performed in front of audiences all over the world and has experienced love from all corners of South Africa, Noah is a great person for this partnership and to use his voice to advocate for the country’s diverse culture, fine cuisine, breath-taking adventures, and a hospitality experience that compares to no other,” the TBCSA added.

TBCSA CEO, Tshifhiwa Tshivhengwa, also said that having Trevor Noah as the voice of South African tourism would do great things for the sector.
“He is a global brand loved by people all over the world, and his partnership with the TBCSA is a major coup. I am confident that Trevor will help us to position South Africa as the destination of choice for global travellers,” Tshivhengwa said.

RELEASE OF FIRST VIDEO
The initiative, called the ‘Best of Us’ campaign, will see Trevor Noah show what South Africa has to offer through a series of packaged video-adverts, the first of which has already been released.
