WATCH: Tornado spotted in Standerton near Tutuka Power Station

Residents of Standerton in Mpumalanga were sent on a shock wave after witnessing a tornado edging their homes.

TORNADO SPARKS FEAR AMONG STANDERTON COMMUNITY

This afternoon, the residents noticed this violent rotating column of air on an open veld next to Tutuka Power Station.

Although the motion of the tornado did not come close to the nearby residential sites, many feared for the power station because once struck, they would go for days without power while Eskom repaired the damages.

ROADS FLOODED AFTER TORNADO HAVOC

Just shortly after the unsettling tornado, the town was battered by a heavy storm which left it flooded, especially between Standerton and Bethal.
