Watch below as members of Parliament debate a Motion of No Confidence in Jacob Zuma, brought by the Democratic Alliance (DA).
DA Leader Mmusi Maimane has spoken, asking members to work together and put the South African flag first rather than caring about who is yellow, red or blue.
The ANC has complained that the DA has allegedly sent letters to each member of the ANC telling them to vote in “a particular way”. The DA responded that it is not unparliamentary to send letters, and they have received letters from the ANC themselves.
A secret ballot will not be allowed. Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa and Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan are not in the House (which is full for this debate).
The ANC argue that this motion is simply from an opposition party that is against reform and that is “masquerading and leading as a black face”.
Many ANC supporters have turned up to support Zuma.
