The explosive BBC World News documentary about rhino poaching in South Africa, which premiered around the world a couple of weeks ago, is now available to watch on YouTube. See below.
The show lifts the lid on the alleged links between rhino poaching in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN), South Africa, and the alleged corruption within KZN courts and its national parks.
BBC Africa Correspondent Alastair Leitheid investigates bribes allegedly paid to a court syndicate, and reveals the magistrates and lawyers now being investigated… including a regional court president.
BBC said: “A thousand rhinos are being killed every year in South Africa – and there are less than 25,000 left. Their horn is worth more than cocaine on the Asian black market, but it’s not just the greed of poachers and traffickers – corruption is apparently fuelling the crisis.”
Sir Richard Branson is the latest global thought leader to encourage the world to watch the documentary, tweeting links to it yesterday.
