Turkish Airlines introduces new Business Class suite

Turkish Airlines has a new offering for passengers, in the form of a new Business Class suite available on transcontinental flights.

Turkish delight from Turkish Airlines

Travellers to and from Turkiye can look forward to luxury from Turkish Airlines, who has unveiled its new state-of-the-art Crystal Business Class suite.

The new suite will be available on its transcontinental flights, including those between South Africa and Turkey, Travel News reports.

The suite will be rolled out on the airline’s new Airbus A350s, as well as be retrofitted on Turkish Airlines’ Boeing 777s, which have an adjustable door for added privacy and 58cm of extra footwell space and direct aisle access for all guests.

Professor Ahmet Bolat, Turkish Airlines Chairman of the Board and Executive Committee said that it was a new level of comfort and privacy.

“Our new Crystal Business Class suite will add a new chapter for our long-haul luxury travel and will carry the airline into the future with a new level of comfort and privacy across our extensive global network,” Bolat said as per Travel News.

What can passesngers look forward to on board?

Some of the amenities on board the new Crystal Business Class will include:

  • A more passenger-focused 1-2-1 layout,
  • High walls, sliding doors and retractable middle dividers,
  • Adjustable reading lights,
  • Power outlets,
  • Wireless chargers,
  • Adjustable mirrors,
  • Noise-cancelling headphones,
  • An ergonomic seat cushion and
  • A 56cm screen.

Passengers will also be able to convert their seat to a fully flat bed with just the touch of a button.

Turkish airlines operates flights to over 280 destinations around the world, with 14 return flights between South Africa and Istanbul weekly.

The airline operates a daily return flight between Istanbul and Cape Town, as well as between Istanbul and Johannesburg. There are also four weekly return flights, via Johannesburg, between Istanbul and Durban.

Turkish Airlines is yet to confirm which routes will feature the new Crystal Business Class suites.
