GDE has provided the latest statistics regarding the top 20 primary and high schools with the highest number of applications.

The Gauteng Department of Education has provided the latest statistics regarding the top 20 schools with the highest number of applications.

OVERALL LEARNER PLACEMENT IN GAUTENG

Although 47 101 applicants are yet to be placed, GDE boasts a total placement of 226 085 Grade 1 and 8 learners for 2024 overall, and commits to placing more learners throughout the remainder of the year.

However, a total of 324 schools have no more space to accommodate any further applicants.
