The top 15

According to the ranking, Iceland was the number one safest country to travel to in 2025, with Berkshire Hathaway Travel Protection saying:

“The country has one major road, and it’s never crowded. Logic dictates that it’s hard to have traffic accidents if you don’t have traffic.”

 Second on the world’s safest countries list was Australia, ranked by Berkshire Hathaway Travel Protection because:

“Australia’s far enough away from anywhere that any resident probably has a good reason for being there. Those types of places have traditionally had little crime.” 

Completing the top three was Canada, with BHTP revealing that this country was chosen for its safety because of:

“A dispersed population. Canada places ninth among the world’s countries for the lowest population density. It’s hard to have crime if you don’t have victims or perpetrators.”
