Despite proving his high quality on loan at Chippa United last season, Mamelodi Sundowns have sent Etiosa Ighodaro on another loan spell.

What was the reason?

SUPERSPORT SIGN SUNDOWNS STRIKER

After delivering 11 goals in 27 appearances in the colours of the Chilli Boys last season, SuperSport have won the signature of Ighodaro from Kabo Yellow.

“Matsatsantsa would like to confirm the signature of 22-year-old Nigerian forward Etiosa Ighodaro on a one-year loan from Mamelodi Sundowns,” United reported.

“We are excited to have you in the Matsatsantsa family, Eto,” the announcement concluded.

WHAT KABO YELLOW SAID

Chatting to the media since his arrival at Matsatsantsa, the former AmaTuks and Chippa number nine says he was given a bit of a blank message.

“He [Rulani Mokwena] just told me that I should just try one more time,” Ighodaro said via FARPost.

“To try one more time then after this, I will be back home. So just this move, then there is an opportunity [to go back].

“It’s not about [doing] enough. It’s about readiness. I don’t know, maybe they think I am not ready. They gave me another loan, so I think after this [SuperSport United loan]. I think I will be ready enough,” he said.
