SPRINGBOKS GET GOOD NEWS ON INJURY FRONT
Pollard’s injury would have caused a lot of panic in the Springbok camp particularly, because South Africa are already without several key players for the Rugby Championship, including inspirational captain Siya Kolisi.
According to a report on Rugby365, Leicester have confirmed that the Springboks playmaker picked up a lower leg injury, but he is not expected to be sidelined long term.
His standout performances for the English outfit over the 2022-23 campaign has been a great news story for SA rugby, and the World Cup winner is earmarked to be a key figure for the Boks in a massive 2023 season.
However, the 29-year-old’s injury battles are well documented and he missed the end-of-year tour to the UK and France in 2022 due to a knee problem.
