THABO MKHABELA: NEXT CHARACTER
The actor-casting director Thabo Mkhabela tells Drum that he doesn’t want to be remembered as the person that Leshole Mabitsela was.
“[I want to play] something that when it comes in, it will scrap off the Leshole image on it. Something guluva, something pastor, something different.”
The talented actor also tells the publication that he plans to place beats on his poems and venture into hip-hop.
“I have recorded a few songs, I [just] haven’t published them. That’s what I’ve been tapping into slowly. The hip-hop industry is hot already, so I just want to share my knowledge, feelings and me. I like sharing these in a poetic way.”
“Penner” is the name that he’ll be going by as a musician when he finally drops his songs.
