Siya Kolisi removes Rachel from instagram, drops ‘Husband’ Title
New Year, new relationship update? Siya Kolisi has taken down any mention of his estranged wife Rachel from his Instagram profile, along with the ‘husband’ title in his bio.
Springboks captain Siya Kolisi kicked off the New Year by hinting at a change in his relationship status on Instagram—without any mention of his estranged wife, Rachel.
The couple and parents of two children called it quits after eight years of marriage.
SIYA KOLISI REMOVES ‘HUSBAND’ TITLE, PIC WITH RACHEL
Since announcing their separation in October last year, Siya Kolisi fuelled speculation that a reconciliation could be on the cards via his Instagram account.
However, this all changed on New Year’s Day when he removed his profile picture of himself with his wife, Rachel, and the title “husband” from his Instagram biography.
Siya also deleted his IG highlights – a selection of Stories – in which he featured pics of South Africa’s beloved couple.
Siya replaced his profile pic with one of him as Springboks captain. His bio now reads “Father, Brother.”
After their divorce announcement, Rachel also removed the title “wife” from her IG bio and blue-ticked Siya from her 2024 highlights in a TikTok video.
Although they still follow each other, they have not liked or commented on each other’s posts.
SPENDING THE HOLIDAYS APART
Meanwhile, Rachel and Siya Kolisi have sadly spent their first Christmas apart.
While Rachel spent Christmas with their two children and Siya’s siblings Liyema and Liphelo in their Cape Town home, the Springboks captain spent his own quality time with his family – minus Rachel – on a trip to Zimbabwe.
