SASSA REMINDER: Child Grant payment TOMORROW

SASSA grant payments have been released for the rest of the year. Find out which grants still need to be paid out.

The South African Social Security Agency(SASSA) has released the full payment schedule of this month and beneficiaries of a child grant can expect to receive their money tomorrow.

WHERE TO WITHDRAW SASSA GRANT

Grant beneficiaries can withdraw their money at supermarket retailers such as Checkers, Spar, Shoprite, USave, Boxer and Pick ‘n Pay.

The Postbank SASSA gold cards used by thousands of beneficiaries works just like any ordinary debit and can also be used at ATM’s or swiped at any store to make purchases.

PAYMENT DATES

November 2023

  • Older Persons/ Pensioners Grant: Thursday, 2 November
  • Disability Grant: Friday, 3 November
  • All other Grants: Monday, 6 November

If you like planning ahead, these are the payment dates for December:

December 2023

  • Older Persons/ Pensioners Grant: Friday, 1 December
  • Disability Grant: Monday, 4 December
  • All other Grants: Tuesday, 5 December

GOLD CARDS STILL VALID

SASSA beneficiaries using the Postbank gold cards do not need to rush to the Post Office to have new cards issued as the validity of the current cards has been extended.

The gold cards were expected to expire on 31 December but will work beyond that.

Beneficiaries can also opt to receive the grant money in their personal bank accounts by filling in a bank consent form which can be obtained from any SASSA office or downloaded from the website.
