The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) is in charge of social grants in South Africa. If you need to contact the Social Security Agency in a hurry, here are all of the most important contact details on the same page.

Grant applicants and recipients can visit their nearest office, contact head office, or use their helpline to get in touch.

VISIT A REGIONAL SASSA OFFICE

A Regional office is the nearest agency to your registered address.

If you need to apply for a grant or collect yours, a regional or provincial office can help you to do it. Queries can also be answered at offices.

CONTACT HEAD OFFICE

If you cannot find the answer to your question through a regional SASSA office (or you need more advice and help), contact the main offices instead.

According to their website, the head office can be reached via phone at 012 400 2000, or via email at srd@sassa.gov.za.

USE THEIR HELPLINE

If you have any specific complaints or questions about the system or your social grant, you can also contact representatives through their helpline. The helpline is there to provide National assistance for anyone in the country.

For questions or complaints, contact the National Helpline first. If necessary, they will be able to tell you what to do next, or who to contact. Where needed, the National SASSA helpline can also direct you to your nearest office if you can’t find it yourself.
