Postbank, in a statement by Bongani Diako, assures SASSA beneficiaries that their expired SASSA Gold Cards will stay valid throughout 2024.
“SASSA Gold Cards are operational in 2024; no need to change. Disregard anyone, even SASSA officials, suggesting a bank switch; your SASSA Gold Card will persist in 2024,” states Diako.

WHERE CAN BENEFICIARIES USE SASSA GOLD CARDS
Postbank proactively addresses concerns, ensuring timely social grant payments despite expired Gold Cards. The entity urges beneficiaries to utilise outlets such as PicknPay, Boxer, Shoprite, Checkers, Usave, or any bank ATM for convenient transactions.
This assurance is a response to potential confusion and misinformation, allowing beneficiaries to continue relying on their existing Gold Cards for uninterrupted access to social grants throughout the year.

The South African reported that SASSA has issued a crucial reminder to beneficiaries. The reminder emphasises the closure of all remaining SASSA and Postbank Cash Points (CPPs) during January to March 2024.
