SASSA brings services to remote communities, saving time and money
The Mpumalanga branch of SASSA is working hard to make its services more accessible to distant communities.
The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is making significant efforts to bring its services closer to the communities located far away from its offices.
The primary objective behind this initiative is to reduce the burden on beneficiaries who have to travel long distances to access SASSA services.

By taking its services directly to the communities, SASSA aims to minimize the reliance of beneficiaries on public transportation. Thus allowing them to use their social grant money for their intended purposes. This move comes as part of the Integrated Community Registration Outreach (ICROP) program.
The ICROP program is an innovative approach that SASSA has adopted to ensure that the community is reached effectively and efficiently. SASSA officials will set up mobile offices in various locations. Including remote and marginalised areas, so that beneficiaries can easily access the services they require.

SASSA WILL VISIT WHICH AREAS IN MPUMALANGA?
“The services will be also delivered at Louisville which is surrounded by the following farming areas: Louiscreek, KaGaz, Mashayana and Madubula. The majority of the people in this area are farm workers and do not have sufficient time to visit government departments for any kind of service they need,” read the statement.
These mobile offices will be equipped with all the necessary resources. Also with personnel to cater to the needs of beneficiaries, making the process smoother and more convenient for all parties involved.
This outreach program will cover a broader geographic area. It will also provide a lifeline to countless disadvantaged individuals who would otherwise struggle to access much-needed assistance.
The Mpumalanga region has a significant number of beneficiaries who heavily rely on social grants for their livelihoods. By bringing the services to their doorstep, SASSA aims to alleviate the financial and logistical burden that these beneficiaries face on a regular basis.
