SAA to Lubumbashi
South African Airways (SAA) is set to introduce a brand new route from Johannesburg to Lubumbashi in Democratic Republic of the Congo.
As reported by Travel News, SAA will operate the route starting 1 November, with five flights a week from Mondays to Fridays.
Flights will go out according to the following schedule:
- Flights will depart Johannesburg Monday to Friday at 10:50, arriving in Lubumbashi at 13:20
- Returning flights will then depart Lubumbashi on the same days at 14:10, arriving in Johannesburg at 17:50
“Our 5 weekly flights, landing at 13:20 pm in Lubumbashi, ensure you have the flexibility and convenience to plan your business trips and connect seamlessly to the copper mining regions of Ndola.” the airline said on social media.
South Africa to Australia flights ramped up
In other recent news from SAA, the airline also recently announced that from 8 December it will increase the frequency of its nonstop service from Johannesburg to Perth, Australia to four flights per week.
Then from 7 January 2025, the airline will increase to five flights per week on a year-round basis.
According to the new flight schedule, flights will operate from 8 December as follows:
- Flights will depart Johannesburg on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays at 20:35, arriving in Perth, Australia at 12:10+1.
- Departing flights from Perth will then take off on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, arriving in Johannesburg at 05:10+1.
Then, starting 7 January, the additional flight will depart Johannesburg on Mondays, returning to Perth, Australia on Tuesdays.
