South African Airways (SAA) will soon be offering twice as many flights to Mauritius ahead of the busy holiday season.
SAA to double frequency on popular route
South African Airways (SAA) is set to increase frequency along one of its most popular routes – Johannesburg to Mauritius – from 1 December.
As reported by Travel News, the airline will double its current daily flights from Johannesburg to Mauritius, flying twice daily seasonally from 1 December.
“The additional flights to Mauritius during peak periods reflect our commitment to meeting the increased demand for this popular destination,” SAA’s GM Sales Marketing Distribution and E-Commerce, Carla da Silva, told Travel News.
“More flights to Mauritius mean greater flexibility and convenience for our passengers, ensuring a smoother and more enjoyable travel experience. By increasing our frequency to the beautiful island, we’re playing a key role in boosting tourism and supporting the local economy.” da Silva added.
Flight schedule
The additional daily flights from SAA will begin on 1 December and run until 29 March 2025, according to the following schedule:
- The Johannesburg flight will depart 10:45 and arrive in Mauritius at 16:45.
- The return flight will then depart Mauritius at 17:35 and arrive in Johannesburg at 20:00.
