RIP: Limpopo mourns Premier Mathabatha’s wife Maggie

Limpopo province’s first lady Maggie Mathabatha, who was wife of Premier Chupu Stanley Mathabatha passed away at 62 years after a short illness.

MAGGIE MATHABATHA DIES

The passing or Premier Stanely Mathabatha’s wife Maggie was confirmed in a statement by the office of the premier on Wednesday morning, 28 June following a short illness.

“Mma Maggie will be remembered by the family, relatives, friends and the people of Limpopo for her immense contribution towards socio-economic development of the disadvantaged people.”

“Through the Limpopo First Lady Trust, she managed to mobilise resources which resulted in the successful building of houses to disadvantaged families, distribution of food parcels and wheelchairs.”

Maggie uplifted underprivileged communities through the First Lady Trust and became Limpopo’s first Lady a decade ago when her husband was announced as premier of the province.

LIMPOPO GOVERNMENT PAYS TRIBUTE TO PREMIER’S WIFE

South Africans paid tribute to Limpopo’s first lady Maggie Mathabatha and expressed condolences to Premier Stanley Mathabatha’s family on Wednesday.

The provincial government also revealed in a statement that Mrs Maggie Mathabatha will be remembered by the family, relatives, friends, and the people of Limpopo for her immense contribution towards the socio-economic development of the disadvantaged people.

“Through the Limpopo First Lady Trust, Mrs Mathabatha managed to mobilise resources which resulted in the successful building of houses for disadvantaged families, and the distribution of food parcels and wheelchairs.”

Funeral arrangements will be announced in due course.
