Religious leaders threaten IEC if ANC stays in power
Religious leaders in KZN have sent a direct message to the IEC that they will “shut the country for good” if the MK party does not win.
Religious leaders in KwaZulu-Natal have sent a clear and direct message to the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) that they will “shut the country for good” if the MK Party does not win a two-thirds majority in the upcoming elections.

According to Timeslive, a pastor by the name of Vader Maluleke took the stage at an MK rally, saying: “If the 2024 elections don’t give [MK party] and Nxamalala a two-thirds majority and the ANC remains in power, we are going to close South Africa for good.

“We want to say to the IEC, you better do it the right way, or we are coming for you,” said Maluleke, who did not want to divulge the details of the religious and traditional leaders he was representing.
The MK rally was held in KwaXimba near Cato Ridge outside Durban, where former president Jacob Zuma addressed the crowd. He said the MK party is the only party they should vote for if they want to change for the better. Click below to listen to Zuma.

MK PARTY TO PRIORITISE FREE EDUCATION SAYS RALLY COORDINATOR
The SABC reported that the MK party’s rally coordinator in KwaXimba, Thulani Gamede, said the party would prioritise free education. The rally was attended by thousands of MK Party supporters.
“You remember that Zuma was the one who pronounced free education and the ANC failed, but I am not here to speak about the ANC. Our mandate as the MK is that we want people to have land,” he said.
