Tsireledzo Ndou appeared in the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court on a rape charge a day after he withdrew from representing serial rapist and murderer Thabo Bester in the same court.

TSIRELEDZO NDOU FACES RAPE CHARGE
According to the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA), Ndou is charged with attempted rape and assault. He was granted R1000 bail earlier this year.
On Wednesday, 21 June, he appeared in the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court, and the matter was postponed to 7 July for further investigation, per SABC News.

THABO BESTER’S OTHER FORMER LAWYER ALSO FACES TRIAL
Ndou was the instructing attorney for Thabo Bester until Tuesday. According to TimesLive, the other lawyer who was representing the accused, Advocate Jeremiah Pela, is also facing criminal charges and will face trial later this month.
Pela is embroiled in an attempted extortion scheme related to a security tender at a TVET college in the Free State in 2017.

NPA provincial spokesperson Phaladi Shuping said the matter was set for trial from 26 to 30 June.
On Tuesday, Pela told the court that he and Ndou had reached an agreement with Bester and there would be no further instructions for them. The news of the criminal allegations against the pair of lawyers broke last week.
