Rand Water maintenance to leave Tshwane residents without water

A number of areas in the City of Tshwane will have no water on Friday, 25 August due to Rand Water maintenance.

Parts of Tshwane will have no water for eight hours on Friday, 25 August due to planned maintenance by Rand Water.

The shutdown will start from 09:00 – 17:00 and will affect the Vlakfontein and Bronberge reservoirs which supply areas in the City of Tshwane.

TSHWANE AREAS AFFECTED BY RAND WATER SHUTDOWN

The City of Tshwane said on 25 August, technicians from the City of Ekurhuleni will do switchgear upkeep at Rand Water’s Mapleton Booster Station.

HERE ARE THE AREAS THAT WILL BE AFFECTED:

  • Corobrick Plant – Grootfontein 394 -JR, Mooikloof Manor Ext 2, Rietfontein 375 -JR, Rietfontein Ridge Ext 11, Rietvallei 377 – JR, Zwavelpoort 373 – JR, The Hills (all extensions) and Tiegerpoort 371 – JR.
  • Carina Street Reservoir – Alphenapark, Erasmusrand, Garsfontein, Groenkloof, Monumentpark (all extensions), Sterrewag, Waterkloof (all extensions), Waterkloof Heights (all extensions), Waterkloof Park and Waterkloof Ridge (all extensions).

The following reservoirs which are fed by the Garsfontein Reservoir will also be affected:

  • Eersterus Reservoir
  • Elardus Park Reservoir
  • Kilner Park Reservoir
  • Klapperkop Reservoir
  • Koedoesnek LL Reservoir
  • Magalieskruin Reservoir
  • Mamelodi R1 Reservoir
  • Mamelodi R2 Reservoir
  • Montana Reservoir
  • Moreleta Reservoir
  • Murrayfield Reservoir
  • Parkmore HL and LL Reservoirs
  • Queenswood Reservoir
  • Sinoville HL and LL Reservoirs
  • Villiera Peak Tanks
  • Waverly HL and LL Reservoirs

The City of Tshwane has apologised for inconvenience that may arise due to the shutdown.
