Police have identified suspects who shot AKA and Tibz

Police in Kwazulu-Natal have identified the suspects who shot and killed rapper AKA and his friend Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane.

Police in Kwazulu-Natal have identified the suspects who shot and killed rapper AKA and his friend Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane.

KwaZulu Natal Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi says they are building a solid case before they make arrests on this matter.

HOW DID THEY IDENTIFY SUSPECTS WHO SHOT AKA AND TIBZ?

ENCA reported ,“ when we started to investigate, we found out that some of the cars were already parked before the shooting, we started profiling the cars and discovered that they belong to certain individuals.

“The team is still busy; they work non-stop. I had to even give them extra computers because the information is too much for the computers and the external drive.

“when we go to court, we are going to have a very lengthy case,”said Mkhwanazi.

AKA, was shot dead outside a restaurant in the eastern city of Durban.

WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM?

Kiernan Forbes, 35, won multiple South African awards, was nominated several times for a Black Entertainment Television award in the US and was once nominated for an MTV Europe music award.

He was alongside his friend ‘Tibz’ while they were walking towards their car from a restaurant.

Police said: “They were allegedly approached by two armed suspects who walked to them from across the street and shot the victims at close range.”

Forbes was booked to perform at a club on that Friday night, and motive of the shooting was unknown, and an investigation was under way.
