‘Rude’ plane behaviour: Is this acceptable?

A recent TikTok video of a woman on board a plane has gone viral, after she recorded her fellow passenger invading her personal space.

According to Daily Mail, Fanny Gagnon O’Donnell, who is from Montreal but currently working in Germany as an au pair, was taking a three-hour flight back from a trip to Spain when her patience was severely tested by the passenger seated next to her.

In the video, O’Donnell’s window seat POV highlights the man next to her constantly reaching over her with his phone in hand to capture photos of the view from the plane window.

The video has since been viewed over 3.7 million times and is quite funny to watch, but probably wasn’t as funny to experience first-hand.

In the overlaid captions, O’Donnell explains that she was ‘confused at first’ but thought him leaning over her like that would just be a ‘one time thing,’ so she ‘let him do his thing.’

The clueless man, however, continued to lean over and O’Donnell adds ‘there he is again,’ as his arm was seen fully extended in front of her for the best possible camera shots.

The TikTok video also amassed over a thousand comments, with most users quickly agreeing with O’Donnell’s feelings on the situation.

Ems hilariously added: “I would’ve closed the window and been like it’s my window not yours”

emily commented: “Nah girl I would of smacked his hand away”

𝐃𝐨𝐥𝐥 ™ pointed out something we’re all thinking: “why didn’t he just like ask??”

Another user commented that O’Donnell was actually really sweet for letting the man share her window as it could have been his first time flying.
