Earlier this week it was reported by TimesLive that Mosimane and his largely South African technical team have not been paid their salaries for the past few months, despite having led Al Ahli back into the Pro League.

It comes at a time when there has been speculation that the popular coach could be set to leave the Saudi club, with this salary debacle sure to fuel exit talks.
Speaking to an Arabian TV channel, Pitso confirmed his last salary payment was way back in January.

The article from TimesLive further states that Mosimane’s representatives may have to bring Fifa in to help resolve the matter, with the money owed including bonuses for promotion and for winning the second-tier Yelo League title.
“They [the coaching staff] have achieved their mission. They are engaging the team to get what is owed to them because the past few months have not been easy for them,” a source commented.

Last month, when Mosimane appeared on Saudi Arabian TV, he suggested there was a clause in his contract that could add another twist to the tale of whether he will stay or go at Al Ahli.
“I have a clause in my contract that stipulates the extension of the contract when the team gets promoted to the Saudi league, so why should I change it?” he said after the match, as per Yallakora.
According to a previous report by Goal Arabic, Al Ahli’s President Walid Moaz has decided to “betray” Mosimane by beginning the search for a new coach at a time when many would have expected an extension to his initial one-year contract.
“It’s not certain Ahli will look for a new coach … but we don’t know,” a source commented. “Really this club is so unpredictable – they can last minute say we will keep [Pitso Mosimane], and in the next hour, they will say we’re taking a European coach; it’s bizarre what’s happening, but it is what it is, you know.”

COULD PITSO REALLY BE SET FOR AN AL AHLI EXIT?
When Mosimane also spoke recently about his future, he deflected questions to his wife and agent, Moira Tlhagale, who wasn’t giving much away.
However, Pitso has since revealed that he had already turned down an offer to return to the African continent.
“I received an offer from Egyptian (club) Zamalek, but this time it is not appropriate to accept the offer. If the circumstances were different, I would’ve wanted to continue Al Ahly in Egypt, but the conditions of the Egyptian League necessitated not working there,” Mosimane revealed to beIN Sports.
