Parts of Johannesburg will experience a water outage due to unplanned maintenance on Thursday, 15 February.
Parts of Johannesburg will have no water supply for most of the day on Thursday, 15 February.

UNPLANNED MAINTENANCE

Johannesburg Water is having an unplanned maintenance, as they plan on repairing parts of steel water pipeline in Diepkloof extension. The pipeline being repaired supplies water to the Orlando East Reservoir.
The repairs will result in no water supply between 6am and 8pm.
Areas affected include:
- Diepkloof extension
- Diepkloof zone 3/4/5/6
- Orlando East and West
- Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital
- Dr Matseke Memorial Hospital(Lesedi)
All street in these areas will be affected. However, Johannesburg Water will have water tankers available.

Meanwhile, the City’s authority says it is investigating the water problems, experienced by residents around Fourways Estate, Cedar Acres and Dakarai Lofts.
“Johannesburg Water is aware of low pressure to no water issues, every day. The depot is currently investigating the cause of these issues.”
“In the meantime, water tankers have been arranged for the affected areas.”
