The City of Cape Town’s Water and Sanitation Directorate has scheduled an essential 8-hour maintenance work in specific areas from Monday.
The City of Cape Town’s Water and Sanitation Directorate has scheduled essential maintenance work in specific areas, resulting in temporary water supply disruptions.
While the inconvenience is regrettable, this proactive initiative aims to enhance the water supply infrastructure for the benefit of residents.

SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE ACTIVITIES IN CAPE TOWN
The maintenance work includes pipe and valve installations, repairs, and replacements in various neighborhoods.
- Goodwood: Water supply will be interrupted from 9:00 to 17:00 on Tuesday, 28 November, and Thursday, 30 November, affecting an area bounded by Voortrekker Road, Jakes Gerwel Drive, the railway line, and Alice Street.
- Gordon’s Bay: A significant portion will experience water supply shutdown from 8:00 to 18:00 on Tuesday, 28 November, encompassing Sir Lowry’s Pass Road, Dennehoek Road, Disa Road, and the Coastline.
- Constantia, Plumstead, and Meadowridge: Intermittent water supply disruptions will occur from 9:00 to 17:00 on Tuesday, 28 November, affecting specific roads for valve and fire hydrant repairs.
- Plumstead and Diep River: Intermittent water supply disruptions from 9:00 to 17:00 on Tuesday, 28 November, for valve and fire hydrant repairs on designated roads.

This infrastructure maintenance aligns with the Water and Sanitation Directorate’s commitment to ensuring the future continuity of water supply by addressing unaccounted-for water issues.
“The City sincerely regrets any inconvenience caused,” said the City of Cape Town.
