Nasreddine Nabi and Kaizer Chiefs seem to be edging closer to agreed terms, which could spell the end of Arthur Zwane’s head coach tenure.
According to SABC Sport, Chiefs seem willing to accept a compromise in order to secure the services of Nabi, who has become their No 1 target in terms of a blockbuster new coaching appointment.

The report suggests that the Chiefs have “have decided to replace their beleaguered incumbent Arthur Zwane ahead of the next season”, and are now willing to compromising when it comes to allowing Nabi to bring in at least some of his own support staff.
Apparently the club would be open to the option of the Tanzanian coach bringing up to two members of staff in his desired departments.
Increasingly, it seems that Zwane may not have a future with the senior team, while it remains to be seen what the future holds for Dillon Sheppard.

Increasing signs have pointed to the fact that Nabi is poised to take up the Chiefs head coach role as his ‘next challenge’, but the question had remained, what would this mean for Zwane?

In a whirlwind few days, Nabi confirmed that he is looking for a new challenge away from the Young Africans in Tanzania, and Chiefs moved quickly to send him a proposal, which he will consider along with other apparent options in Saudi Arabia, Algeria and Tunisia.

Even as the talks between Nabi and Chiefs have become an open secret, it was also reported by Soccer Laduma that a compromise needed to be reached in terms of Zwane’s role if negotiations are to proceed successfully.
Zwane still has a couple of years left on his contract with Chiefs, and sources suggest that just because club bosses were looking at new head coach options, it didn’t necessarily mean they wanted to completely part ways with ‘10111’.

When it comes to Nabi, as highlighted by iDiski Times, personal terms such as salary, contract length and incentives have to be ironed out, while he also reportedly wants to bring in his own backroom staff should he accept the job.
