HARARE – Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe has mistakenly repeated the same speech in parliament that he made during a state of the nation address on 25 August, it was reported on the BBC on Tuesday. His spokesman told the state-run Herald paper the error was because of a mix-up in the president’s secretarial office, the BBC said.
It was reported elsewhere on Wednesday that Mugabe has summoned members of parliament to gather again, to hear the correct speech. Mugabe was heckled loudly by the opposition Movement for Democratic Change when he made the speech the first time, especially where he said that Zimbabwe was experiencing modest growth.
