Shabalala was born in Lamontville, KwaZulu-Natal on 3 July 1998.
He is 1.55m tall and speaks isiZulu.
Shabalala was reported missing to The South African website by his grandmother, Sandile C. Majola.
The investigating officer at the Lamontville police station is Warrant Officer Mkhize.
