Lungi Ngidi ruled out of India Series
Proteas fast bowler Lungi Ngidi sustained a left lateral ankle sprain and won;t take any part in the T20I series.
When the Proteas play India in a three-match T20I series starting on Sunday, they will be missing one of their key seamers after Lungi Ngidi was ruled out through injury.

LUNGI NGIDI RULED OUT OF INDIA SERIES
He had only been scheduled to be available for the first two matches of the series along with Gerald Coetzee and Marco Jansen.

Ngidi, who last played in the league stage of the 2023 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup, sustained the knock in training.
He will undergo rehabilitation under the guidance of the Proteas medical staff after being dismissed from the T20I squad.

Before a decision is made on his participation, he will be evaluated ahead of the Test series against India later this month.
Beuran Hendricks has taken Ngidi’s spot in the T20I squad. If the left-arm seamer attains the playing XI, it will be his first international match in two years.
