Load shedding schedule for the weekend
Eskom has announced the return of load shedding following the Human Rights Day break. Get the updated load shedding schedule here.
Eskom announced a new load shedding schedule. In an X post on Friday, the power utility confirmed that Stage 2 load shedding will be implemented between 16:00 and 20:00 and thereafter Stage 3 will be in effect until 05:00 on Saturday.
Stage 2 will then return between 05:00 and 20:00 on Saturday, followed by Stage 3 until 05:00 on Sunday.
Eskom pleaded with the public to switch off non-essential appliances to reduce the demand, especially between 17:00 and 21:00.
The SAPeople website will keep the public abreast of the latest developments when changes occur.
