South African travellers can now look forward to a more comfortable flight experience when flying with Kenya Airways, as the airline recently announced an upgrade to its fleet on key routes between Nairobi and South Africa.
According to Tourism Update, several flight services on the Johannesburg and Cape Town route have been upgraded to the Boeing 787 Dreamliner to enhance connectivity between the two countries.
On the Johannesburg-Nairobi route, which has a total of 28 flights per week, 18 of these flights will be operated by the Dreamliner.
The Cape Town to Nairobi service is offered nine times per week, with the Dreamliner now serving four of those weekly flights.
Passengers can look forward to features such as larger windows, improved cabin pressurization, reduced noise levels and enhanced air quality. The aircraft’s advanced lighting systems also mimic natural light patterns, reducing jet lag and enhancing the onboard experience.
KENYA LAUNCHES NEW ENTRY SYSTEM
The East African nation also recently introduced a new Electronic Travel Authorisation (eTA) earlier this year, after they removed all visa requirements for visitors to the country.
Besides the $30 processing fee, the listed application requirements for all travellers, including children and infants, are as follows:
- Valid passport for at least six months after the planned date of arrival into Kenya with at least one blank page.
- Selfie or passport-type photo.
- Contact information, email address and phone number.
- Details of arrival and departure itinerary.
- Accommodation booking confirmation.
- Credit card, debit card, Apple pay or other means of payment.
