Joslin Smith: Schoolmates share prayer for her return [VIDEOS]
The pupils at Diazville Primary School in Saldanha Bay have shared a heartbreaking prayer for the safe returns of their friend, Joslin Smith.
The Saldanha Bay school attended by Joslin Smith – Diazville Primary – has shared another touching tribute to the missing grade one learner.
The six-year-old disappeared from her home on 19 February, which she shared with her mother, Kelly, her stepfather, Jacquin Appollis, also known as Boeta, and her two siblings.
She is yet to be found.
In the latest development, Kelly and Boeta, as well as two others, have been arrested and charged with human trafficking and kidnapping.
The four will remain in custody until their next appearance on 13 March.
JOSLIN SMITH PRIMARY SCHOOL SHARES TOUCHING TRIBUTE
In a Facebook post on Thursday, 7 March, the Diazville Primary School led a touching tribute to Joslin Smith.
In it, one of her friends lit a candle for her while an assembly of children sang a song asking God to send her home.
“We pray for you and trust that you will return to us safely”, the post read.
Classmates of the grade one learner also signed a written prayer for her to be found.
In another heartwrenching video, little Joslin’s friends lined up in the playground as they screamed her name.

STUDENTS RECEIVING COUNSELLING
Meanwhile, Diazville Primary School principal Lee-Anne Davids-Hartzenberg revealed that the school has offered counselling to students.
She told IOL: “Some of the learners in the class want to know when she’s coming back. But they are doing well.
“The school arranged with the school social worker to have a counselling session with them. She did the counselling by way of activities.”
The principal added that staff hold a daily prayer session for Joslin to be found.
