The IEC said the voter turnout varied between 26.36 percent and 53.56 percent with an average of 38.93 percent. Two wards were uncontested.
The ANC kept four seats in wards in North West, KwaZulu-Natal and Free State; the DA three seats in Eastern Cape, Gauteng and North West; and the IFP two seats in KZN.
